High-Level Description

This thesis explores designing a mesh VPN architecture, inspired by Tailscale, to enable secure and scalable communication between IoT devices and cloud services. The goal is to adapt modern mesh VPN principles to improve device-to-device and device-to-cloud connectivity.

Project Description

The project involves developing a mesh VPN system to provide secure, encrypted connections and simplified remote management of IoT devices. A prototype will be built and evaluated to explore the feasibility and eCectiveness of this approach for reliable IoT connectivity and remote device access.

Purpose and Scope

Purpose: To enhance the security and manageability of IoT networks by applying mesh VPN technology for device communication and remote management.

Scope: Focused on prototype development and evaluation with a limited number of devices, assessing feasibility and security without targeting large-scale commercial deployment.
