How it is to work as a Senior Consultant in Software & Cloud
From management trainee to senior consultant, Josef Alzubaydi’s journey at Knightec Group has been defined by growth, responsibility, and impact. Here, he shares how his role challenges him and drives his development.
What does your role at Knightec Group involve?
As a Senior Consultant at Knightec Group, my role is both dynamic and evolving. I have the opportunity to take on challenges that drive my own development while creating value for our clients. I lead project deliveries for one of our largest clients, ensuring that teams have the right conditions to deliver high-quality results. In addition, I work as a project manager in cybersecurity, helping clients assess their cybersecurity maturity and identify potential vulnerabilities.
Alongside my operational work, I’m actively involved in business development, building strong client relationships, and driving new opportunities—especially within the defense sector. What makes my role unique is the combination of strategic, operational, and business-driven responsibilities. The ability to shift between technical discussions, business decisions, and client relations keeps me challenged and continuously learning.
How have you grown since joining?
I started as a Management Trainee, working closely with leadership to gain a broad understanding of how to run a company of this scale. From the very beginning, I was given real responsibility and the chance to contribute to strategic decisions, which accelerated my development.
After my trainee year, I transitioned into consulting, where I’ve had the opportunity to work across multiple industries. This has given me a broad market understanding and the ability to quickly see both the bigger picture and areas for improvement. The trust and responsibility given early on at Knightec Group have been crucial for my development.
What’s the best part of being a consultant?
Being a consultant means constantly adapting to new challenges, industries, and clients. The variety in work makes it both engaging and rewarding. One day, I support a client in product development; the next, I help shape their business strategy. It brings the sense of changing jobs without changing employer.
At Knightec Group, I get to work on meaningful projects alongside skilled colleagues in an environment that fosters learning and growth. Contributing to both our clients’ success and my own development is what makes this role so inspiring.
