Three stories of development, leadership, and continuous learning
No two careers look exactly the same—and that’s especially true in consulting. While some choose to deepen their expertise, others move into leadership, business development, mentoring, or a combination of several paths. What unites them is a willingness to keep learning, take on new challenges, and create value beyond their initial role. Meet a few of our colleagues and discover how their careers have evolved in ways they never expected when they first started.
A career shaped by curiosity, leadership, and continuous growth
When Lina Jenslin Tempe joined Knightec Group in 2018, she brought extensive experience in quality and regulatory affairs from the medical device and pharmaceutical industries. What she didn’t anticipate was just how many different paths the consulting role would open up.
Her journey began as a specialist, but her responsibilities gradually expanded. Through client assignments, project leadership, and delivery responsibility, Lina discovered that she was just as passionate about helping people grow as she was about solving complex quality challenges. What started as sharing experiences and supporting colleagues in day-to-day work evolved into leadership, mentorship, and a strong commitment to competence development.
Looking back on her years at Knightec Group, one thing stands out. She never expected to play such an active role in shaping the business and creating opportunities for others to develop. Today, she sees a clear connection between client delivery, people development, and business growth. What starts with a desire to help a clients often leads to learning, development, and new opportunities—not only for herself, but also for her colleagues and the organization as a whole.
My journey has shown me that consulting can be the starting point for many different paths. You can deepen your expertise, take on greater delivery responsibility, step into formal leadership, or contribute to business and organizational development—often in combinations that you help shape yourself. — Lina Jenslin Tempe
Today, Lina combines specialist assignments within the Quality area related to process improvements, digitalisation including AI, and change management. Her journey is a testament to the fact that consulting is far from a fixed career path. Instead, it can be a platform for growth in many different directions—whether as a specialist, leader, mentor, or culture builder—and often in several of those roles at the same time.
From engineer to Team Leader: Growing beyond the technical role
When Filip Magnuson joined Knightec Group, his focus was on building a strong technical foundation as a mechanical design engineer. Over time, however, his interest expanded beyond the technical solution itself. He became increasingly drawn to the bigger picture—how projects are delivered, how teams collaborate, and how great ideas are turned into real results.
His journey has taken him from engineering into project management and, ultimately, leadership. Along the way, he discovered that growth often happens outside your comfort zone. One defining example came during the pandemic, when he stepped into an assignment outside his core expertise, supporting ISO audits. What initially felt like a detour became one of the most valuable learning experiences of his career.
It became one of the periods where I learned the most in the shortest amount of time. Being flexible and willing to step into new areas has been a big part of my development. — Filip Magnuson
Looking back, Filip sees that his career has been shaped not by following a straight path, but by being open to new opportunities and challenges. Today, he combines customer-facing delivery with leadership, bringing insights from client work directly into how he supports and develops his team.

Growing through initiative and new opportunities
When Caroliné Nilsson joined Knightec in 2020 as an Associate Consultant, she stepped into a fast-paced MedTech environment during the transition from MDD to MDR. Starting out with hands-on regulatory work, she quickly took on greater responsibility and discovered that she was motivated by more than just delivering her own tasks.
Throughout her career, Caroliné has actively looked for opportunities to contribute beyond her formal role—whether by driving improvements, leading projects, supporting clients with new initiatives, or helping identify business opportunities. For her, consulting has never been about simply filling a role, but about creating value wherever there is a need.
No one can guess what you’re passionate about. But when you make your ambitions visible, your opportunities to grow increase significantly. — Caroliné Nilsson
Looking back, she sees that much of her growth has come from being curious and open to new experiences. By combining consulting assignments with involvement in sales, recruitment, and internal initiatives, she gained exposure to leadership and business development while continuing to grow professionally.
Today, Caroliné works full-time in a leadership role within Life Science, combining people leadership and business development. Her journey shows that consulting is far from a fixed career path—it is an opportunity to shape your own development by taking initiative, building new skills, and following your ambitions.
Shaped by curiosity, driven by growth
The stories of Lina, Filip, and Caroliné show that a career in consulting is rarely a straight line. Whether the next step leads toward deeper expertise, leadership, new business opportunities, or helping others grow, the possibilities are often shaped by curiosity, initiative, and the courage to explore something new. It takes courage to make your ambition visible, step into unfamiliar roles, and take an active part in shaping both your own development and the future of the business. Because at Knightec Group, growth is driven by curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to make the most of the opportunities along the way.
